Mammy Bears Books 20 April 2018 · Fairies...a topic I adore so...they or should I say their illustrators, will be subject to several posts over the next few weeks. One of my favourite fairy illustrator's is IDA RENTOUL OUTHWAITE - one of Australia's most renowned illustrators of children's books. Her beautiful fairy pictures are totally captivating. Born 9th June 1888, most of her work was published in the early decades of the 20th Century. In 1985 she was honoured on a postage stamp depicting an illustration from "Elves and Fairies" Wonderful books.
