Apart from reading...obviously...what is your favourite pastime? One of my hobbies is Lapidary. Hmm, and WHAT is that I can hear you ask. It is the finding, cutting and polishing of gemstones. Here in Australia, we are fortunate to have some of the world's most beautiful rocks...from Sapphires to Agates to Opals. We also are fortunate to have wonderful books on the subject, ranging from WHERE to find them, to HOW to cut and polish them. So, if you like fresh air and don't mind getting down and dirty, you could find some amazing rocks out in the bush...you never know an elusive Black Harlequin Opal might be there just waiting for you...but don't forget your reference book!
