Mammy Bears Books 14 February 2019 · Todays post features a wonderful Australian Artist - Pixie O'Harris 1903-1991 Born Rhona Olive Harris her pseudonym occured when she was dubbed 'the Welsh pixie' on the boat to Australia, her famiy originating in Wales. She has written and illustrated many wonderful books and illustrated the work of many authors. Indeed, this remarkable lady wrote her last book - Loveleaves Returns to the Bush - in 1988 at the age of 85. Her work is colourful and quite delightful.
