Mammy Bears Books 24 April 2019 · One of my all time favourite artists is Alan Aldridge (1943-2017). His fabulous phsycedelic style is apparant but not overwhelming in his books "The Peacock Party", "The Lion's Cavalcade" and "The Butterfly Ball and The Grasshoppers Feast". He illustrated a number of Science Fiction covers for Penguin publishing in the sixties, along with a fantasic book "The Penguin Book of Comics" in 1971. His work is colourful, inventive and for me, superb. If you have never seen his work, I highly recommend you check it out
