Mammy Bears Books 7 August 2019 · How many of us grew up with Noddy and his best friend Big Ears? I know I did. Noddy has been a favourite character since his creation 70 years ago... yes, he is 70 this year! I must admit that Noddy was not my favourite as I adored Big Ears, he was so sensible and kind, whereas, Noddy always seemed to me, to be naughty or silly. I guess I must have been a serious child! Whoever you loved, Noddy, Big Ears, Mr. Plod the policeman or even Noddy's car - which had a life of it's own - Noddy et al, will always have a very special place in my heart. As a bookseller I have a nice range of Noddy books, from early editions with dust jackets, to 1980's copies - the last to feature Golly.
