This book is a translation of the important work on the germ theory of infection by Fracastoro. It includes a poem, originally printed in Rome 1531, which gave syphillis its name and recognized its venereal cause. Illustrated with 11 black and white illustrations on plates as well as several head pieces and figures in text.
